Information Meetings 2011

Are you a homeschooling parent living in or near Panama City, FL? Are you considering homeschooling, but don't know where or how to start? Are you looking for like minded Christian families to learn along with, fellowship with, and be encouraged by? Are you tired of jumping from curriculum to curriculum trying to find the perfect fit for your children? Maybe Classical Conversations Panama City can help!

We are offering three information meetings over the next few months in order to give you an opportunity to learn more about our program and the classical model of education. We hope that you'll be able to make at least one!!

January 31, 2011
6:00-8:00pm
Heritage
Bible Church
On January 31st, our meeting focus will be on literature. Our discussions will include: When should I begin reading to my child and when should I stop? Should my child be reading the classics? Should I be asking my child questions about the books he's reading and if so, what questions? Does literature need to be a separate course of study? And many more!

February 22, 2011
6:00-8:00pm
Heritage Bible Church

On February 22, our meeting focus will be on math. How can I begin preparing my younger child for higher math in the future? How can I teach higher math to my child if I didn't go to college? What does the classical model have to do with teaching math?

March 22, 2011
6:00-8:00pm
Heritage Bible Church

On March 22st, our meeting focus will be on history. When should I introduce my child to history? How can I incorporate history in my homeschool? Do I need a textbook or special curriculum? How can I keep from taking the fun out of history?
